In silver gilt, the Maltese cross in red enamel, fleur de lys in each quadrant, measuring 77 mm (h) x 47 mm (w) inclusive of crown suspension, on original neck ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Military Order of Saint Stephen was originally founded by Cosimo I de'Medici, First Grand Duke of Tuscany, in commemoration of his victory over the French in August 1554. It was
