A Set of Six 19th Century Gillows Library Chairs Cabinets & Storage with whom he had justA run of oak and Moroccan leather library chairs attributed to Gillows of Lancaster. Raised on glazed pot caster and turned tapering oak legs, Moroccan leather upholstered seat & back support, yoke shaped armrests, inverted heart motif back splat. A similar armchair is illustrated in the Gillows estimate records for August 3, 1868, as intended for the county Magistrates council chamber. Stylistically the chairs derive from several sources which
